About us

We have been raising Nigerians since 2009 and love them. they are friendly and great milkers in a small package. However we saw a need for a small milking goat who might also be dual purpose and give something else like fiber. Thus the first article we read with a picture of a Nigora goat, and we were hooked. The Nigerian is a dwarf milker originally from Africa and the Angora is a Fiber goat originally from Turkey.  The Nigora that we raise is a cross between only these two breeds as they are our personal favorites;the nigerin due to thier compact size, good nature, variations in coat & eye color/patterns and milk production, and the arge amounts of luxurious fiber from the beautiful Angora.  There are however distinct differences in each breed as we have come to experience, which makes the Nigora breed special.  Each kid born is a little different and because of this we only select and breed the best stock we have for specific positive breed characteristics such as good health, great form, quality milkers, great fiber and color producers, as well as great personality which makes for ease of keeping as a productive, friendly and enjoyable goat as a backyard family pet or for the hobby farmer. We are open to the general public on various days throughout the year for educational clinics for anyone who would like to attend. Please see our Special Events page for clininc dates and times. Pre-registration is required.
